Biography
Following studies in Medical Optometry (AIIMS), Visual Neuroscience (SUNY, NRSA) and Nutrition, Dr. Aggarwala is working in the areas of image contrast, myopia, glaucoma, and retinal metabolism. For product development he seeks collaborators conducting trials. He shuttles between New York City and the Hudson Valley to explore cultural and biodiversity themes. He has a penchant for the Dutch-- including windmills, pottery, Vermeer and Spinoza; and the Portugese-- especially Vasco Da Gama and the Brazilian Rain Forest. Among tourist spots, he favors the Konark temple and the Har Ki Doon Valley. He derives inspiration from the poems of Kabir, Tagore, Hardy, Dickinson; paintings of Madhuban, Blake, El Greco, Pissaro; observations of Alhazen, Kepler, Fred Alan Wolf, Rudy Rucker, Hans Goldmann; music of Hayden, George Harrison, Linda Ronstadt; and attitude of Jane Goodall.
